The sun blessed us at Tregenna for the second year running on the evening of Sarah’s fabulous tennis tournaments in aid of SLYPN.
The boys tennis was of an impeccable standard despite some players having recently embraced their sixth decade. It could very well have been down to the addition of Snow White wigs and mandatory feather boas. The chaps favoured pints of champagne and rose over Robinsons Barley Water and seemed all the more energetic because of it by the time the final was played. This year’s champions were duly feted and awarded with the SLYPN Summer Tennis trophy before we warmed down courtesy of the inimitable Susie Roberts and Sacha’s never ending fancy dress basket.
It was, as ever, a wonderful evening made very special by the feeling of goodwill and generosity which this charity generates. There were some extremely sore heads the next day but some enriching memories!
